Sahana Srinivasan is a filmmaker, comedian, and actress born and brought up in Texas. She currently resides in Burbank, California.
Sahana is the host of the Netflix original science show, Brainchild. Brainchild promotes STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) by presenting science through games, quizzes, and entertaining skits. With episodes focusing on “Social Media,” or “Motivation,” the show reminds viewers that science is in practically everything. For her work on the show, Sahana has been named one of ESPN’s “Game Changers,” and was also featured in the New York Times, Forbes, NowThis, and The Rachael Ray Show.
Besides acting for camera, Sahana also performs lives standup, sketch, and improvised comedy; she recently hosted for comedians Ari Shaffir and Emo Phillips at Cap City Comedy Club. As a recent graduate from the radio/television/film program at the University of Texas at Austin, Sahana creates original short films and music videos; she strives to champion women and people of color in her creative work.
